A Fair Game is a new clothing line based in Miami, FL. The initial Spring 2011 launch features iconic graphic tees inspired by the AFG ethos of independence, diversity, and a hustler’s work ethic, all splashed with the flavor of Miami and beyond. A Fair Game is “for people who manage to occupy many different worlds and subcultures and niches.” It’s not just hip hop or rock, skate or basketball- AFG is for the individual who lives in both worlds. There are no promises in the game of life so make your own rules and be your own boss because game is life.
A few weeks ago Korn posted a sample of a dubstep tune on their soundcloud account. Just recently Spin.com posted an article with the final product.
“Get Up,” tentatively due on a new Korn EP in May, is a skittering blitzkrieg of heavy electro beats and guitars. “I heard a few of Skrillex’s re-mixes and really felt there would be a good chance that he would have the right sensibility to connect us to a new hard sound and direction, but still keeping Korn guitars and our vibe,” frontman Jonathan Davis tells SPIN. “We were just thinking of trying something new, to be honest, so I had my manager reach out to the Skrillex camp. When we got into the studio the connection was instant!” – Spin.com
When you look up the definition of epic, this video should popup. Keep a look out for this upcoming video and their new album Hot Sauce Committee Part Two
I was recently exposed to the latest release from Gil Scott-Heron and Jamie xx “We’re New Here” and was immediately hooked. With a mixture of odd syncopated rythms and sparse melodies this album is definitely worth checking out.
Not only do most styles fit with my AFG gear, these dudes do it with a good cause. With each pair bought they donate a pair to someone in some serious need of vision correction in a third world country. Can’t go wrong with that… and…. they’re only $95! WHAT!?
